Resident doctor in Pediatrics

I graduated University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", in Bucharest. Almost five years ago, I started my residency training in "Grigore Alexandrescu" Emergency Children’s Hospital, in Bucharest, Romania. Since then, little patients have proved me many times they are fierce fighters and never lose their joy and curiosity, regardless of how serious the disease is.

I work with passion and perseverance and I am constantly trying to improve my empathy and communication skills. My professional interest mainly includes general paediatrics. Pediatric somnology and oncology are in my area of interest and I am willing to specialize in the first one. I believe that the pediatrician's role should not be limited only to prescribing a treatment, but also to being a support for children and parents. That's why I started the Pediatric Compass project, together with my residency colleagues. Recently I specialized into car safety of small passengers. I became involved as a volunteer in Children's Auto Safety Foundation (“Fundația Siguranță Auto Copii”) after completing their training as the first pediatric doctor in our country. My role in the foundation is to raise awareness about the safe transportation of children by car.

After becoming a mother, my daughter proved to me day by day that pediatric books do not apply to all children and she is unique. Because I dealt with postnatal depression, it was difficult for me to see my daughter through a mother’s eyes and not pediatrician’s. Fortunately, through the kind support of my family and colleagues, I began to understand how important is being a mother for her. That's why I believe, metaphorically speaking, that the compass is the child itself. As her mother, I must learn to understand her and to become the support she needs for a harmonious development.

I started this project with great enthusiasm and love, together with my colleagues, with whom I have been working for a long time, to offer a support for parents. The medical experience and the doctors I have as mentors have taught me that good things are done in a team, and I want to prove that there is communication between specialties and in my generation.

Resident doctor in Pediatrics
IBCLC Lactation Consultant

I graduated University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", in Bucharest. I work as a pediatric resident doctor in "Grigore Alexandrescu" Emergency Children's Hospital, in Bucharest, Romania. I am also an IBCLC lactation consultant and a mother of two wonderful children that teach me something new every day. In the university I discovered my passion for pediatrics and knew I wanted to work with children. The second job, that of being a mother, perfectly complemented my doctor skills and empowered me. I was able to understand worried parents who came to the hospital with their sick children and that helped me to enhance a good communication with them, based on patience and empathy.

I joined this project because I know how important it is to have good quality information just a click away distance. This is the reason why I try to "translate" up-to-date medical information into the "language of parents", because I truly believe that prevention of diseases and accidents starts primarily with education.

General Pediatrician

I am a general pediatrician who graduated University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", in Bucharest and trained as a resident doctor in "Grigore Alexandrescu" Emergency Children's Hospital and Brașov Emergency Children’s Hospital. Recently, I became the mother of my little "goblin" who completes our family. She tests our limits to always find ingenious solutions for everyday existence.

I knew from the very beginning what I wanted. My love for children made me to attend medical school and to practice pediatrics. I am fascinated by infectious pathology, prevention and vaccinology. I joined the project because I consider necessary to provide parents correct information from reliable sources.

General Pediatrician

Since childhood, medicine was the job I wanted to practice, and I invested a lot of time to fulfill my dream. Later, pediatrics was the area where I wanted to specialize, a choice with the soul. The smile and joy of a child walking confidently through life is the reward at the end of a busy day.

I graduated University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", in Bucharest and trained as a resident doctor in "Grigore Alexandrescu" Emergency Children's Hospital. I consider prevention one of the best ways to stay healthy. Family education before conception, during pregnancy, and especially after birth, is the basis of harmonious development. Nowadays we are talking about a multidisciplinary team working together for the same goal.
