Dear parent or future parent,

As pediatricians and mothers, we know how difficult this new job can be, especially at the beginning of parenthood, but keep it mind it will be so rewarding. The avalanche of information, advice received from specialists, family members or even from social media sets a huge pressure on you. Kindly find in our website a medical educational support related to your child's health. We write medical information for parents that includes a scientific and updated medical bibliography. We hope that our articles and social media posts will complement the information offered at the medical visits.

Vision

The Pediatric Compass project appeared thanks to our children and the love for our job. As mothers and as well as doctors we have encountered minor issues and sometimes more difficult ones with our first baby or in our medical practice. We navigate together through this journey, offering you a compass: correct and updated medical information.

The team had a long journey until it reached the complete format. Our team has 2 general paediatricians, 2 paediatric residents, soon-to-be general paediatricians and 2 doctors as collaborators who join us in our team debates and are equally involved: a Childhood and Adolescence and Mental Health Psychiatrist and a Dermatology and Venerology resident doctor.

Mission

Our strong opinion is that parents should learn the medical information from healthcare professionals. Child safety and prevention of potentially deadly diseases through vaccination and of accidents are particularly important and are topics that we often write about. In addition, you will find articles related to child growth and development, child care, breastfeeding, weaning and nutrition and other topics of pediatric interest.

Values

Teamwork, evidence-based medicine and up-to-date medical information are critical to us. On this site you will find up-to-date information, verified by our team members, with a scientific bibliographic source.

Enjoy reading and good luck in parenting!
